In a friendly and personalized format, this complete tour is an insightful alternative that combines the "olive oil experience" and an informative guide, as well as commodity, through some of Granada 's most spectacular country-side. We collect you from your hotel at between 9:30-10 AM and in just half a day you can trace the journey from the olive tree to the finished product, seeing ancient techniques in a 15th century mill. Then for the fun bit with a tasting of very different and representatives oils of Andalusia, from soft to stronger ones, fruity, spicy and bitter.

There you will also learn about virgin, extra virgin, biological oils.labels, colours, acidity, cold pressing, appellations of origin, and other vital details so you can make an informed purchase next time you are faced with an aisle replete with bottles of liquid gold.

At the same place, if you wish so, within a range of hundreds of olive oils from all overAndalusia (the first productive region of the world), you can buy your favorite one at cost price ! There are also other delicious local products such as Serrano ham, wines and cheese, etc.

We also propose as an extra option, a tasting of 4 different Andalusian wines: a white and a red wine from La Contraviesa in the Alpujarra, a Fino (sherry wine) and Pedro Ximenez from Montilla-Moriles. These wines will be served with 'tapas': Serrano ham from Trevelez and delicious local Alpujarra goat/sheep cheese appetizers. (This option is an extra 15 euros.)

• The tour lasts about 6 hours. It includes a 3-course lunch, guide in English, visit of a beautifully preserved 15th century oil mill and olive oil cooperative museum, transport collection from and to your hotel (within a radius of 15 km from city-centre) and the olive oil tasting.
